Creative Streatham Terms

TIMES 

The date and times for each of Creative Streatham’s Makers Markets will be released on the website and our social media platforms. 

LOCATION 

The market will be held on Gleneldon Mews, London SW16 2AZ. Indoor table top traders will be set up inside the B1 Creative studio at no. 165 and outdoor table top traders under gazebos on the Mews. 

TRANSPORT 

By Bus: Gleneldon Mews is situated near the A216 Mitcham Lane and A23 Streatham High Road junction meaning it has extensive bus connectivity including the 50, 60, 109, 118, 133, 159, 249, 250, 255 and G1. Use https://tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/ to help plan your journey  

By Train: The nearest rail stations are:  

Streatham: 0.2 Miles 5 Minute walk. Zone 3 and has services from London Bridge, Caterham, Sutton via Wimbledon and St Albans 

Streatham Hill 0.8 Miles 15 Minute Walk. Zone 3 with trains from London Victoria and West Croydon 

LOADING AND UNLOADING 

B1 Creative is located at street level and traders will have a maximum of three steps to get to their pitches! Traders will be invited to set up from 9am and are required to be off the premises by 5pm. Specific times will be given out nearer to the event day. 

PARKING 

There will be no parking on Gleneldon mews, however there is regular unrestricted parking in the numerous side roads on both sides of Streatham High Road.  

In addition there is extensive car parking available at the Tesco on Streatham High Road which is a short walk away. Parking for up to 6 hours is £11. Please refer to posted signage for specific restrictions and details.  

Please note: Parking on the day of the market is the trader’s own responsibility. 

PITCH FEE 

Pitch fees are listed on the sign up form. This will include a 6ft trestle table and chair, or the equivalent. This means you may receive a longer, thinner table or, if your stock requires it, perhaps wall space. Please get in touch with the Creative Streatham team to decide what suits you best. 

PAYMENT 

Payment for your pitch will be taken through the website when you apply. Your place will not be confirmed until this payment is received.  

CANCELLATION POLICY 

We hope that all of those who commit will be able to attend the Makers Market. If, however, something should get in the way of this, please tell us as soon as possible. You will be sent a full refund if your cancellation is a month prior to the event, a 50% refund if it is four to two weeks prior and no refund within two weeks of the event.  

STOCK REQUIREMENTS 

We are looking for makers and creators of all kinds to join the market – if you have a connection to Streatham through your place of residence, work or otherwise, this is an added bonus. 

PROMOTION 

We will be promoting the event heavily through social media, printed flyers and advertising in local publications and blogs. Confirmed traders will be emailed branded social graphics to be shared on their individual accounts. If you would like print promotion (i.e. flyers or posters), we can send those out to you as well. Please promote the market as much as you are able – only together can we make it a huge success! 

SOCIAL MEDIA 

Please invite and share the event’s Facebook page. We encourage social media sharing up to and on the date of the market using the account @creativestreatham and hashtag #creativestreatham 

TRADER INFORMATION 

We want to shout about you! We ask that everyone sends a short business profile (one paragraph) as well as three photographs. If you have a logo, please send this in addition. We will promote each trader with a dedicated post in the build up to the event. 

SECURITY 

Security of your stall is also the trader’s responsibility. There will be no official security on site. It is also required that all traders taking part have their own Public Liability Insurance.
